Half of All US Jobs Eliminated

Half of all US Jobs could be Eliminated

jobs-eliminatedArticles by US News and World Reports, Information Age, Bloomberg, and others discuss how computerization and robotics will disrupt half of all jobs in the United States.

A Russian pizza franchise has already started delivering pizzas by drones, Domino’s pizza has conducted drone delivery tests  and Amazon recently announce plans to use drones to deliver products, consider all the lost delivery jobs. Think about the effect driver-less cars will have on taxi drivers and the effect 3d printing technology will have on manufacturing jobs. Just as self serve gas pumps and automated teller machines (ATMs) eliminate, self serve checkout counters at supermarkets will do the same.

There are currently 94.7 million permanently unemployed Americans who are considered not in the labor force, not even seeking a job.  It has been suggested that Trump’s agenda during his first 50 days indicates a U.S. “democide” policy, government sanctioned killing base on social economic status.

Below the CEO of Toyota talks about autonomous (self driving) cars becoming the standard in the future.

Just like the industrial revolution, the digital revolution is increasing productivity and transforming the workforce. However, unlike the industrial revolution that increased jobs, the digital age is pushing many workers out of jobs.

Anheuser-Busch claims to have made the first commercial shipment by a self-driving truck which delivered 51,744 cans of Budweiser on a shipment through Colorado. If you drive for a living, you better start developing another skill now!

Self flying taxis

The head of Dubai’s transportation agency said that self-flying taxis would start taking people across the city starting from July. The city will use the Ehang 184 for the airborne service. The Ehang is a drone that can fly without human direction and carry a single passenger and their bag. It can take one person on a journey up to 23 minutes long.

A report titled, “The Future of employment“, published by Oxford University, predicted that 47 percent of U.S. jobs are as risk for being automated; especially in transportation, logistics, office and administrative support work. Service occupations, where most recent U.S. job growth has occurred, are highly susceptible to computerization.

Protect your future and consider starting a business today. Even a part-time business from your home provides extra income and can provide an extra cushion. Starting a business doesn’t mean you have to quit your current job, but having that additional source of income provides peace of mind and security that a job simply can’t provide. Order your copy of, “The Home Based Business Owner’s Manual Today’, you’ll be glad you did!

Recently Announced Job Losses

Note: This list represents a small fraction of actual job losses. With a few exceptions, only employers cutting 100 or more jobs are included. However, small businesses make up 99.7 percent of U.S. employers. To see more recent job losses, see DailyJobCuts.com.
